Crunch Time

Flows have ceased a bit on the Truckee River. For the first time in a week it’s below 2000 cubes here in the Hirsch. Water has cleared back to about 5-6 feet of vis instead of the coffee color it’s been looking like.  Still not the best for nymphing, but if you like covering water, it’s perfect for streamer fishing. Today was one of the best streamer days I’ve had in a long time. A chase, or grab in just about every likely spot. Black is the color. Look for some nice soft banks, or anywhere fish can get out of current.  A nice brown from today up in the miracle mile.
