A Few Browns And A Rainbow

Truckee River Brown Trout, Nevada from Gilligans Guide Service on Vimeo.

Some nice fish have been put in the net lately, and things haven’t even started yet. Peter landed these nice browns today, and Phil toughed it out with a bad head cold and landed a nice rainbow the other day. Good job Phil, you made the blog. Big stones and small baetis have been my rig of choice. Don’t be afraid to fish the middle stuff, the middle slots and seams. The brown ate my sz#18 baetis nymph. Peter has fished in Chile and has not yet landed a brown of this size. I’ve got a few days off, time to rest, and scout some fall wood cutting spots.

Nice goin’ Phil. Talking to you last night you still had that bad head cold. Hearing about that 4 pound rainbow was fun.

Like I said, should be like the second coming of Christ this fall.

Had a blast, man – and thanks for the pointers. Looking forward to hitting it again with you in the fall.
