Fishing is good around the Lake Tahoe basin, the dry fly fishing I should say. I’m not gonna name names, but if you know where to look and go at the right time of day with the right emergers and duns (preferably mine) well.. It’s funny how many folks have not really dry fly fished that much. It’s like a lost art. Like a generation of fly fishers that do not how to properly cast their fly rod. Anyone can fish a ping pong ball, but not everyone can fish dries. If you ain’t that good, go practice your cast. Learn a reach cast, the reach cast will change your game. Practice and practice a little more. Learn some more tricks like the Fall River Twitch, casting downstream to rising fish. The fishing is not easy in our area, in fact its very difficult, and a good cast will help you out.
