Pyramid Lake Nevada Fly Fishing Report 11-5-14

Fly fishing at Pyramid Lake in Nevada is very good right now as the fish have moved closer into the beaches. Most fly anglers are averaging about 1-2 fish per hour with a good bite in the morning and again in the evening. Retrieving buggers and beetles and nymphing under the indo is the way to go. Varying your retrieves and the colors of the flies, changing it up, can sometimes make the difference. Don’t get bummed if the dude next to you, like right next to you, catches a 20 pounda. That’s just the way it is at Pyramid, cast until your arm goes numb and cast some more. Full moon this week so the bite will probably be early and late and maybe not so much during the day unless a good wind blows in, we’ll see.
