Truckee River Fishing Report-10-12-20

Finally some seasonable temps.

Switched to fall this weekend on the Truckee River. Cold overnight lows, and mild afternoons. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Flows continue to remain good for mid-October. Surprised, we have this much water coming down. About 440 cfs here. So good flows everywhere below Boca. Skinny up top, anywhere above the inlet at Boca towards Tahoe City.

Your best nymphing now will be mid-morning into the afternoons on the CA side. It’s cold in the mornings. Start early at say, Floriston, and you wish you hadn’t. Nevada side should be good all day, early, late, whatever.
